File a Complaint

All individuals receiving services have the right to file a complaint against their service provider if they feel their rights have been violated. Individuals may also have someone file a complaint on their behalf. Any individual who needs to file a complaint may do so by contacting Open Hands Community Services or their Human Rights Advocate.

Human Right Contacts

Individuals (or their substitute decision maker) who would like to make a Human Rights complaint directly to the Office of Human Rights, may do so by calling or emailing the Regional Manager. Click below for their contact info.

disAbility Law Center of Virginia (dLCV)

dLCV protects individuals with mental illness or other disabilities from abuse, neglect, discrimination, and other violations of their legal or human rights. They also help people with disabilities obtain services and treatment. Click below for the dLCV contact info.

Our Program rules are the operational rules and expectations that Open Hands established to promote the general safety and well-being of all individuals in the program and to set standards for how individuals will interact with one another in our program.
